Plagiarism

If it is worth Professor Bowie’s time during lecture to scold all of us because a select few of us are plagiarizing parts or all of our reading responses, then I can blog about it. All I can say is that I’m somewhat disgusted by those that have done this for a few reasons.

One: the TAs are now going to be grading tougher. That means more work for everyone to receive the same grade that we have been “earning.”

Two: While the rest of us were actually doing the work, those that were plagiarizing were screwing us over. I mean really? Why can’t you just own up, and do the work you’re supposed to. All the integrity stuff aside, you’re not going to make it very far in life by just stealing from others. It may work for a while, but eventually people with catch on. If by some chance they don’t, you can sure expect karma to catch up with you.

I’m not exactly sure why this bugs me so much. Maybe it’s all the emails that are being sent out by the Anthro department. Maybe it is that Professor Bowie wasted five minutes of her lecture and my time on it. Maybe, and probably, it is that there are a few people cheating me and my hard work. Whatever, I’m now over it and letting it go.

Peace out.
