New on the Job

So first off, happy No-Shave November everybody!

Today was my first day of work. While I was dreading it and thinking that it would be lame and boring and all sorts of other undesirable things, I actually enjoyed myself. It was so much different than I expected, so much different than any job I've ever had before. Most jobs I've ever had, the atmosphere is pressured and it seems like everyone is in a rush, but at the Sett Rec, everything is so laid back and comfortable. I guess that was a little life lesson about how it is bad to judge something based purely on preconceived notions. I'll consider it a lesson learned. My co-workers are great. (Now there's a good blanket statement.) But really, they were friendly and willing to show me what's what. I really appreciate that. It'll be interesting to find out if all my co-workers are that way.

I'm gong to try to fit a little sustenance in here too... Okay, I got it. Moral of the story is don't judge 'til you've tried it. I didn't think I'd like the job, and I was completely wrong. I even volunteered for another shift tomorrow.

Peace out!
