When all is said and done, I'm not much in favor of New Year Resolutions. I think that the majority of them are kind of dumb, and in my experience, most people don't follow through on them anyways. A lot of the goals don't even have anything to do with a new year anyway. I mean, I understand that it really is the motivation that everyone is gunning for, and how the new year symbolises a fresh start, but I'm still not sure I buy the whole thing.
I told this to a friend, and she recommended that I try setting a goal for myself. She wants me to "try it before I buy it," type deal-e-oh. I didn't really see a reason why not to, so here I am. I going to try out what I think is pointless before I write it off in stone as completely insane.
Goal #1:
Because this seems logical, reasonable, and "right here in my face," I'm going to write on my blog at least six times a week for the rest of the year.
Goal #2:
Because this is beneficial to my mental health and to those of whom are frequently around me, I am going to be overall a happier person. For the rest of the year, I'm not going to let the little "things" bother me as they have for my entire life.
There. I have my "resolutions" and I will stick to them. In a year from now, I will make my decision as to whether or not New Year Resolutions are pointless.
May you all have a better year than last year.
